Michele.
I am glad that you are experiencing new things and noting your feelings of them. Thank you for sharing. My theory is that you are shedding your layers in Portland, but it is a very loose theory at best. I have felt similar reactions to unorganized pseudo radical types before so take ease in the fact that they are located everyone including NYC. I am jealous of your free tamale/50s blender experience.
Keep the stories coming, I am definitely listening.
As a New Yorker who’s thinking about moving to Portland, I read this with great interest. Portland seems cool, but I’m very wary about it’s lack of ethnic and cultural diversity. I’d hate to make the move, then want to move somewhere else several months later.
I noticed your blog stopped. Are you still there?
